"With an ever increasing work schedule, career pressures and general health concerns, people are becoming more aware of the benefits associated with holistic massage "
Jodi Kelly, Massage Therapist |
The principle belief of holistic massage is that prevention is better than cure. The aim is not to treat the symptoms but to eliminate the causes by creating a treatment that is tailor made for each individual. Human touch is a very powerful healing tool. Our bodies are receptive to it from the moment we are born and the relationship between touch and emotion in evident in daily life, even in our language. We can ‘rub someone up the wrong way’…or ‘get in touch with someone'. |
Massage can help us get in touch with ourselves. It can help provide a balance in the body that promotes a gentle, loving space to release deep held feelings and emotions. This positive release will lead to a new sense of equilibrium.
